Sometimes, you just need to bring pencil to paper. A few years ago when the “adult coloring book” craze hit, I admit I was slow to adopt the idea. The notion of slowing down, thoughtfully choosing color, and bringing a line drawing to life seemed foreign. Plus, I was doing far more sophisticated things with my creativity. Coloring books?! – pfff. That was for, my yet unborn, children. Until, I tried it. And it was downright meditative. Over the years I’ve dipped my toe into coloring pages here and there. Whether you just like to tap into your childlike nature and recall simpler times, or you use pages for a more sophisticated purpose like meditation, stress relief, color inspiration – I’ve even framed a few little colorings I’ve done for my desk as transient little moments of happiness.
While making my free printable Christmas coloring book for toddlers, I couldn’t help but spin up a few pages perfect for the older set.
